Registered Nurse - Acute Care MedSurg Oncology - Charge Nurse - Full-Time Nights

Role Overview: The Charge Nurse leads daily unit operations, ensuring safe, high-quality patient care in a clinical environment supported by shared governance. They oversee staffing, patient assignments, and resource management, while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to maintain optimal patient outcomes. The role involves staff development, fostering teamwork, and acting as a clinical resource and role model.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor equipment and participate in resource planning for quality care.
• Assign patients, oversee discharge planning, and coordinate with physicians.
• Conduct rounds to evaluate care quality, ensure adherence to standards, and implement corrective actions.
• Foster interdisciplinary communication, teamwork, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Serve as a mentor, support evidence-based practice, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Engage in professional development and uphold ethical nursing practices.

Qualifications & Skills

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Current RN license (multi-state licensure preferred).
• Certifications: BLS required; ACLS preferred.
• Minimum 1-year nursing experience; relief charge experience preferred.
• Strong clinical, communication, leadership, and teamwork skills.
