Radiation Therapist - Full Time

Role: Staff Radiation Therapist in the Radiation Oncology Department, responsible for delivering precise ionizing radiation treatments to a diverse patient population in accordance with physician prescriptions.

Key Responsibilities

Operate radiation equipment safely, adhering to radiation safety protocols.
Perform complex technical procedures and participate in Quality Control monitoring.
Assess patients, provide specialty care, and educate patients and families on treatment side effects.
Accurately document in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and ensure correct patient setup and simulation.
Follow proper safety procedures, including wearing badges and practicing universal precautions.
Assist in patient mobility management, report discrepancies, and participate in on-call rotations.
Act as a clinical instructor, evaluating and providing feedback to students.

Qualifications & Skills

Associate’s degree from an accredited program.
ARRT-T Radiation Therapy certification and BLS certification required upon hire.
Minimum of 2 years of radiation therapy experience preferred.
Ability to treat and simulate patients effectively.
