Progressive Pulmonary Care Unit RN (Full-Time, Nights)

Role Overview



This position involves providing high-quality patient care in a specialized pulmonary progressive care unit, managing patients with acute respiratory and medical conditions such as lung transplants, pulmonary hypertension, and ventilator support. The nurse collaborates closely with physicians and a multidisciplinary team, including advanced practice nurses, social workers, and therapists, to deliver comprehensive care.



Responsibilities





- Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care within established standards.
- Educate patients and families on managing illnesses, medications, and post-treatment needs.
- Promote patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
- Develop and communicate individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team and patients.
- Utilize critical nursing skills to evaluate physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs, respecting patient values and cultural considerations.





Qualifications & Skills





- Required: Nursing Diploma/Associate's Degree, RN licensure.
- Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, 2+ years of experience.
- Safety-sensitive role demanding alertness and safe work practices.
