Registered Nurse (RN), Night Shift, Oncology (Acute Care)

Role Overview: The RN Clinical Nurse is a vital member of an interdisciplinary team providing high-quality, safe, patient-centered care. They perform the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—using evidence-based practices and critical thinking to tailor care to individual patient needs.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver relationship-based care that respects cultural diversity and involves patients and families in the care plan.
Coordinate and document safe, effective care through interdisciplinary communication and teamwork.
Participate in performance improvement initiatives, research, and evidence-based practice to enhance patient outcomes.
Support professional development by completing competency assessments, mentoring peers, and serving as a preceptor.
Ensure compliance with organizational policies, legal, regulatory, and accreditation standards.
Contribute to protocol development and resource management to optimize patient care and system efficiency.

Qualifications & Skills

Minimum of 5 years RN experience, with direct patient care preferred.
Associates or Bachelor's degree in Nursing; Bachelors preferred.
Valid RN license (single-state or multi-state Compact) and BLS certification required.
Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and customer service skills.
Excellent time management, critical thinking, and technological proficiency.
Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment and respond calmly to emergencies.
