Hematology Pharmacist

Role: The Pharmacist provides safe, effective, and cost-efficient medication therapy, developing and monitoring evidence-based care plans focused on patient outcomes and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver pharmaceutical care tailored to specific patient care areas.
• Interpret and clarify physicians' medication orders, review medication profiles for safety and interactions.
• Recommend formulary alternatives and advise medical staff on drug therapy issues.
• Monitor laboratory results, provide drug information to healthcare teams, and conduct discharge medication consultations.
• Participate in rounds, calculate dosages, verify orders, and prepare specialized medications.
• Supervise pharmacy staff, including technicians and interns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with standards.
• Collaborate with medical and nursing personnel to resolve pharmacy-related issues and improve services.
• Assist in policy review and contribute to departmental improvements.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy required; Doctoral Degree preferred.
• Residency training or three years of clinical experience preferred.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and clinical judgment skills.
