Specialist-Pharmacist Oncology

Role Overview: Provides age-specific pharmaceutical care and clinical services in assigned patient care areas. Contributes to quality assurance, performance improvement, and departmental activities. Manages medication orders, ensuring safety through age considerations, and participates in pharmacotherapeutic planning. Supervises healthcare team members and processes sterile products for dispensing. Offers drug information, education, and actively participates in departmental committees. Utilizes automation to maximize safety and efficiency. Completes assigned goals effectively.

Qualifications & Skills

Minimum of one year hospital pharmacy experience.
Educational requirements include a Bachelor of Science or Pharm.D. degree, with licensure eligibility.
Certifications such as BLS and/or ACLS, with advanced training or clinical experience preferred.
Strong computer literacy, interpersonal skills, and clinical awareness.
Ability to interpret medication orders accurately, demonstrating attention to detail.
