Job Description
Position: Registered Nurse, Infusion Clinic
Role Overview: Provide safe, compassionate oncology infusion nursing care, including patient assessment, care planning, education, and collaboration with the clinical team. Develop and evaluate individualized care plans, communicate effectively with patients and families, and support self-management through education and community resources. Engage in professional development, contribute to performance improvement, and assist with technical procedures such as venipuncture and drug administration.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, evaluate, and revise patient care plans to achieve desired outcomes.
Assess patients, gather health data, and communicate plans and progress to patients, families, and healthcare team.
Provide tailored patient and family education on disease management, emergency care, and medications.
Support professional growth of colleagues and participate in research and quality improvement activities.
Assist with technical procedures and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required.
Minimum 1 year RN experience, with oncology/infusion experience preferred.
Current Illinois RN license, BLS/CPR certification, and OCN/ONS certification (or willingness to obtain).
Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, compassion, and ability to work collaboratively.
