Registered Nurse (RN) - Acute Care Oncology (PRN)

Role Overview: The Registered Nurse provides high-quality nursing care by collaborating with the patient care team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient needs. They serve as a key liaison between patients, families, and healthcare providers, ensuring patient-centered care and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor, examine, and evaluate patient conditions, assisting with care plans and taking appropriate actions to promote outcomes and wellbeing.
Deliver safe, effective care in accordance with policies, maintaining accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and incidents.
Advocate for patients by addressing concerns, educating families, and ensuring effective communication among care team members.
Participate in performance improvement initiatives, support organizational goals, and contribute ideas for process enhancements.
Maintain professional standards by keeping certifications current, engaging in ongoing training, and pursuing professional growth and leadership opportunities.
Mentor and support the development of other nurses, fostering a positive work environment aligned with shared governance principles.

Qualifications And Skills

Minimum education: Associate, Bachelor’s, or Master’s Nursing degree (preferred).
Licenses and certifications: BLS or BLS Instructor, RN license (Single State or Multi-state Compact).
One year of nursing experience required for PRN roles.
Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills.
