Job Description
Role: Staff Radiation Therapist in the Radiation Oncology Department, responsible for delivering precise ionizing radiation treatments, operating radiation equipment safely, and performing complex technical procedures.
Responsibilities: Participate in quality control, assess and treat patients with attention to age-specific needs, document in EMR, assist colleagues, recognize limitations, report adverse reactions, educate patients and families, ensure accurate patient set-ups, follow safety protocols, and participate in on-call rotations and student instruction.
Qualifications: Associate degree or equivalent from an accredited program, ARRT-T certification in Radiation Therapy, BLS certification, and at least 2 years of radiation therapy experience preferred.
Skills: Ability to treat and simulate patients accurately, adhere to safety and treatment protocols, and work effectively within a team environment.
