Inpatient Palliative Medicine Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Role:

Advanced Practitioner in Palliative Medicine, providing inpatient care at a medical center.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for patients, utilizing evidence-based practices.

• Order, interpret, and communicate diagnostic test results; prescribe and adjust medications and therapies.

• Report significant risks to collaborating physicians and perform procedures within scope of practice.

• Communicate effectively with healthcare team, patients, and families, acting as their advocate.

• Provide safe, ethical care and health education, ensuring patient understanding.

• Follow organizational policies and guidelines to meet procedural and care goals.

Qualifications & Skills

• Master's Degree in Nursing with Nurse Practitioner licensure.

• Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and communication skills.

• Ability to perform procedures within scope of practice.

• Collaboration with interdisciplinary team and adherence to policies.
