Job Description

This role is for a Radiation Oncology Physicist or Associate Physicist responsible for ensuring the safety and accuracy of radiation therapy treatments.

Under supervision, you will calibrate equipment, perform quality control, assist in treatment planning, and verify treatment accuracy. You will also design immobilization devices and ensure compliance with radiation safety standards.

Key duties include daily machine checks, routine dosimetry, equipment QA, and staff education on radiation safety and brachytherapy care. You will collaborate with physics staff and assist in protocol studies, maintaining detailed documentation.

Qualifications include a Ph.D. with at least 5 years of experience, and a minimum of 2 years in radiation therapy. The role requires proficiency in radiation safety, calibration, quality assurance, and strong communication skills.

Certification as a Medical Physicist (ABR) within 120 days is required. You should be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to rely on extensive experience to accomplish goals.

Additional responsibilities involve staff training and participation in ongoing safety and treatment protocol improvements.
