Role Overview
Seeking an RN with a passion for oncology to serve as an Oncology Nurse Coordinator at a busy oncology practice. This onsite full-time role is based at Alton Memorial Hospital, with program oversight through WashU at Memorial Hospital Belleville. The position offers standard daytime hours with no call, weekends, nights, or holidays.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation in accordance with nursing standards.
Educate patients and families on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
Participate in activities promoting patient safety, quality, and compliance; develop and communicate individualized care plans collaboratively.
Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences and cultural factors.
Qualifications & Skills
RN license required; BSN/MSN candidates accepted.
Preferred 3+ years bedside experience and oncology experience.
Detail-oriented with strong autonomy skills.
Ability to work in a safety-sensitive environment.
