Job Description
Role Overview: Provides physical therapy treatments across all age groups, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Self-assesses and seeks ongoing professional development through literature, workshops, and peer reviews, sharing knowledge with colleagues.
• Builds rapport with patients, families, and healthcare professionals, respecting cultural diversity and communicating effectively.
• Gathers and evaluates patient data to determine functional levels and treatment needs, adjusting programs accordingly.
• Prepares documentation, participates in discharge planning, and recommends adaptive equipment to optimize patient recovery.
• Promotes evidence-based practices, contributes to department initiatives, and assists in training staff and students.
• Maintains departmental policies, safety protocols, and quality improvement efforts.
• Identifies and manages stress, fosters team relationships, and supports a positive work environment.
Qualifications: Requires a high school diploma or GED, a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT), and licensure as a Physical Therapist. Certifications in BLS are required within 90 days of employment. No prior experience necessary.
