Pharmacy Technician

Role Overview: Responsible for providing accurate and efficient assistance to licensed pharmacists by preparing and dispensing medications, maintaining patient profiles, and delivering excellent customer service. Tasks include stocking medications, labeling bottles, processing prescriptions and insurance forms, operating cash registers, and ensuring a clean, well-stocked department.



Key Responsibilities





- Stock and inventory medications, notify management of supply needs
- Receive and process prescriptions and refills
- Count, package, label, and weigh pharmaceutical products
- Maintain patient profiles and insurance documentation
- Operate cash register and handle transactions accurately
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and legal policies
- Assist with tasks delegated by the pharmacist, including customer interactions and department upkeep
- Perform additional duties as assigned





Qualifications & Skills





- High school diploma or equivalent
- Pharmacy-related experience and state certification preferred
- Strong reading, writing, and comprehension skills
- Basic mathematical abilities
- Attention to detail and product knowledge
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds frequently and occasionally up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods
