Job Description
Role Overview: Provides compassionate inpatient nursing care by assessing, planning, and evaluating patient needs to ensure safety, comfort, and satisfaction. Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate effective care and education for patients and families. Responsible for direct care activities, including treatments, medications, and diagnostic procedures, while adapting plans based on patient responses.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform comprehensive assessments within scope of practice and standards
• Address physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of patients and families
• Develop and implement individualized care plans, including discharge planning and education
• Administer treatments, medications, and diagnostics per policies
• Evaluate intervention effectiveness and revise care plans accordingly
• Collaborate proactively with physicians and team members to meet patient needs
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and participate in evidence-based practice decisions
• Engage in quality and safety initiatives, contributing to organizational improvements
Qualifications & Skills: Graduate from a specialty nursing program; strong communication and teamwork skills; commitment to safety, quality, and patient-centered care.
Additional Details: Work hours typically involve daytime shifts with every other weekend and holiday coverage. The role involves working in a clinical environment with responsibilities to meet organizational policies and promote a safe, collaborative atmosphere.
