Full-Time Radiation Therapist

Role:

Full-time Radiation Therapist in the Radiation Oncology Department, responsible for delivering ionizing radiation treatments to diverse patients in accordance with physician prescriptions.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform precise therapy delivery, patient assessments, and specialty care tailored to patient age groups.
Document procedures accurately in Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
Assist colleagues and recognize personal limitations, seeking help when necessary.
Report adverse reactions promptly and educate patients and families on treatment side effects and aids.
Follow safety protocols, including radiation safety measures, universal precautions, and fall assessments.
Ensure correct patient set-ups, simulate treatments accurately, and communicate changes effectively.
Participate in quality control, daily warm-up procedures, and on-call rotations.
Act as a clinical instructor for radiation therapy students, providing evaluations and feedback.

Qualifications & Skills:

Associate's Degree from an accredited radiation therapy program.
ARRT Radiation Therapy certification and BLS certification required.
Minimum of 2 years of radiation therapy experience preferred.
Ability to treat and simulate patients effectively.
