Full-Time Radiation Therapist

The role involves providing precise radiation therapy to a diverse patient population in accordance with physician prescriptions within a Radiation Oncology Department.

Key Responsibilities Include

Operating radiation equipment safely and accurately
Participating in quality control efforts
Assessing patients and delivering specialty care tailored to age groups (adolescent, adult, geriatrics)
Documenting procedures in Electronic Medical Records
Educating patients and families about treatment side effects and safety precautions
Ensuring safety protocols, including radiation safety measures and universal precautions
Managing patient setup, simulation, and scheduling with accuracy
Recognizing limitations and seeking assistance when needed
Assisting colleagues and participating in on-call rotations
Acting as a clinical instructor for students, providing feedback and evaluation

Qualifications And Skills

Associate’s degree from an accredited Radiation Therapy program
ARRT Radiation Therapy certification and BLS certification
Minimum of 2 years radiation therapy experience preferred
Demonstrated ability to treat and simulate patients effectively

Ability to perform complex technical procedures
Strong attention to safety, documentation, and patient education
Flexibility to perform additional tasks and participate in team activities
