Role Overview
The Medication Aide/Med Tech ensures residents receive medications and treatments safely, accurately, and with dignity in a senior living environment. Key responsibilities include administering medications per physician orders, following the Six Rights of Medication Administration, documenting accurately in MAR/TAR, observing residents during and after medication passes, monitoring symptoms, reporting concerns promptly, completing narcotic counts, maintaining clean medication carts, and adhering to infection control and safety standards.
This role plays a vital part in preventing medication errors, early identification of health changes, and safeguarding resident safety through meticulous attention to detail and compliance with regulations.
Qualifications & Skills
- High School Diploma/GED; age 18+
- Medication Administration certification
- CPR and First Aid certifications
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Preferred: Senior care experience
The position requires a dedicated individual committed to providing compassionate resident care and maintaining safety standards.
