Cardiac PCU - Clinical RN (Days Or Nights)

Role Overview



This position involves providing direct patient care for high-acuity cardiology patients, including managing acute and intermediate conditions, titrating high-risk drips, and caring for patients with heart failure, post-transplant, or requiring telemetry. The nurse will utilize critical thinking and clinical skills to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.



Responsibilities Include





- Promoting patient and family-centered care through education on illness management and post-treatment needs.
- Participating in safety, quality, and compliance activities while engaging in professional development.
- Developing and communicating comprehensive care plans aligned with standards and patient needs.
- Assessing physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient values and barriers to involvement.
- Maintaining safety-sensitive standards, including alertness and safe work practices.





Qualifications And Skills





- Minimum education: Nursing diploma/associate’s degree; preferred bachelor’s degree in nursing.
- Licensing: Current RN license; ACLS certification within one year, BLS certification required.
- Experience: No experience required; two years preferred.
- Specialized training: ECG, acute care, invasive monitoring, LVAD, and additional certifications are advantageous.
