Associate Scientist, Clinical Affairs

Overview:

A leading consumer products company is seeking an Associate Scientist, Clinical & Scientific Affairs to support the safety, efficacy, and claims substantiation of skincare and OTC products. This role will assist with clinical studies, scientific reviews, data analysis, and claims support while partnering with cross-functional teams to bring scientifically backed products to market.

Responsibilities:


- Coordinate and support clinical studies and product testing
- Analyze clinical, instrumental, and scientific data
- Conduct literature reviews to support product claims and development
- Prepare scientific reports, presentations, and claims documentation
- Collaborate with R&D, Marketing, Regulatory, and Medical Affairs teams
- Maintain project documentation and ensure scientific accuracy of claims
- Stay current on advancements in skin biology and skincare science


Required Qualifications:


- Bachelor's degree in Skin Biology, Biology, Biochemistry, Biomedical Science, Cosmetic Science, Dermatological Science, or a related field
- 1-3 years of skin biology-related experience (academic, industry, internship, co-op, or postgraduate research)
- Knowledge of skin structure and function, skin barrier biology, pigmentation, inflammation, aging, photobiology, sensitive skin, and moisturization
- Experience supporting laboratory research, clinical research, product testing, literature reviews, and/or scientific data analysis
- Strong analytical and scientific communication skills


Preferred Qualifications:


- Experience in skincare, cosmetics, beauty, or personal care products
- Exposure to clinical studies, claims substantiation, or product development
