JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a motivated Senior Research Associate – Molecular Biology to support a diverse antibody therapeutics pipeline. This role will provide opportunities to contribute across the drug development lifecycle, including early research, product development, and development/manufacturing activities.

The successful candidate will perform molecular biology experiments, process primary cell samples, analyze experimental data, contribute to new product development, and collaborate with cross-functional project teams in a fast-paced research environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES


- Plan and perform a range of molecular biology techniques, including PCR, cloning, and nucleic acid extraction.
- Process primary cell samples and perform flow cytometry experiments.
- Work with E. coli and Saccharomyces cerevisiae in support of research activities.
- Design and execute experiments with appropriate independence and technical judgment.
- Contribute to new product development and antibody therapeutics research programs.
- Compile, analyze, and interpret experimental data.
- Prepare study reports, technical documentation, and PowerPoint presentations.
- Accurately document and communicate experimental results.
- Present experimental findings and data to project team members.
- Coordinate research activities with functional groups and cross-functional project teams.
- Manage multiple experimental activities and project priorities while meeting established deadlines.
- Identify and address experimental challenges through effective problem-solving and troubleshooting.
- Maintain accurate records and follow applicable laboratory procedures, safety requirements, and company policies.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS


- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline or related field.
- 3+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree or
2+ years with a Master’s degree.
- Demonstrated proficiency in one or more of the following:
- PCR
- Cloning
- Nucleic acid extraction
- Experience designing and executing laboratory experiments with limited technical supervision.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to analyze experimental data and communicate scientific findings clearly.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work collaboratively with project teams and cross-functional groups.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced research environment and meet project deadlines.
- Ability to safely lift and handle materials weighing up to 25 pounds, with reasonable accommodation where applicable.


WORK REQUIREMENTS


- Onsite position in San Carlos, California.

- Ability to manage multiple experiments and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
