Assistant Nurse Manager - Outpatient Oncology Infusion

Role Overview

This position involves coordinating patient care at a satellite outpatient treatment center, primarily focusing on chemotherapy, blood products, IV hydration, and port care. It includes managing staff, overseeing equipment maintenance, and ensuring quality patient care aligned with medical plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage personnel by hiring, training, assigning work, evaluating performance, and supporting professional development.
• Participate in staffing, budgeting, and responding to operational changes to meet departmental goals.
• Provide and oversee patient care tailored to age and developmental needs, documenting according to policy.
• Develop and implement collaborative care plans based on assessments and medical treatments.
• Handle staffing logistics, payroll updates, and staff communication, including performance reviews and disciplinary actions.
• Ensure staff productivity and operational efficiency, conducting performance evaluations and recommending improvements.

Qualifications & Skills

• BSN and a valid RN license are required.
• 2+ years of nursing experience, with preferred oncology experience.
• Experience in supervision is preferred, with 5-10 years of total experience being ideal.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills are essential.
