Acute Care Clinical Pharmacist - Pediatrics

Role Overview: The Pharmacist provides safe, effective, and cost-efficient medication therapy, developing and monitoring evidence-based care plans focused on patient outcomes and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver pharmaceutical care tailored to specific patient care areas.
• Interpret and clarify physicians' medication orders, review patient medication profiles, and ensure proper dosing and safety.
• Recommend formulary alternatives and advise medical staff on drug therapy issues.
• Provide drug information, patient discharge consultations, and participate in medical rounds.
• Compound medications, verify prescriptions, and supervise pharmacy technicians, students, and interns.
• Coordinate resources, maintain stock levels, and ensure departmental standards are met.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to resolve pharmacy-related issues and assist in policy updates.

Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy required; Doctoral Degree preferred. Strong communication, clinical judgment, and teamwork skills are essential. The role involves working in a clinical environment with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.
