Surgical Technologist – Operating Room

Key Responsibilities

- Assist the circulator and surgeon in the care of the surgical patient throughout operative procedures
- Maintain a safe and sterile environment for the patient at all times under the direction of qualified operating room personnel
- Fulfill on-call requirements including one weeknight call per week and weekend call every fifth weekend
- Ensure compliance with all applicable State and Federal laws, regulations, and policies governing the provision of health care


Required Qualifications

- Current Surgical Technologist certification or equivalent credentialing
- Experience in an operating room or surgical setting
- Ability to fulfill on-call obligations as outlined by the position
- Knowledge of sterile technique and surgical instrumentation


Preferred Experience / Skills

- Prior experience in a hospital-based operating room environment
- Familiarity with a broad range of surgical specialties and procedures
- Strong ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary surgical team
