Radiation Therapist
Location
Texarkana, TX Outpatient / Inpatient
Schedule / Job Type
Contract 13-Week Travel Assignment Full-Time Days Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM 5 Days / 8 Hours per Day
Key Responsibilities
- Perform radiation therapy and radiographic procedures involving the application of X-rays and radioactive substances as prescribed by the physician
- Operate specialized radiation therapy equipment, including linear accelerators, to deliver prescribed treatment plans
- Provide quality patient care for outpatient and occasional inpatient populations, supporting 15–20 patients per machine and 2–3 simulations per day
- Maintain accurate treatment records and prepare operational reports as required
- Maintain, store, and order supplies and equipment in accordance with departmental protocols
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Radiation Therapy or related field
- ARRT Certification in Radiation Therapy (RADTH)
- MRT License in state of employment
- RRT License in state of employment
- BLS Certification (Basic Life Support)
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiation Therapist
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with TrueBeam / Varian linear accelerator systems
- Proficiency with ARIA oncology information system
- Experience using Vision RT surface-guided radiation therapy technology
- Familiarity with EPIC electronic health records
