Key Responsibilities
• Deliver radiation therapy treatments in a fast-paced outpatient clinic environment with approximately 35 treatment visits per day
• Operate a Varian treatment machine and departmental CT simulator to administer external beam therapy and advanced modalities including IMRT and Stereotactic Radiosurgery
• Perform CBCT/kV/mV imaging, respiratory gating, and treatment techniques involving custom molds, custom shields, block cutting, and wedges
• Treat adult and geriatric patients with a variety of cancer diagnoses including prostate cancer with seeds/fiducials, lymphomas, pancreatic cancer, and more
• Collaborate with IV teams, pharmacy, radiology, and social services to support comprehensive patient care
• Utilize Varian ARIA/Vision and TrueBeam systems; participate in rapid response and code team protocols as needed
Required Qualifications
• ARRT and ARRT (T) certification required
• BLS certification required (American Heart Association only; HeartCode not accepted)
• CRT (California Radiologic Technology license) required and must be in hand at time of submission — no pending licenses accepted
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiation Therapist required
• Demonstrated experience with: Adult Acute Care, Adult Outpatient, External Beam Therapy, IMRT, Respiratory Gating, Stereotactic Radiosurgery, Prostate Cancer with Seeds/Fiducials, CBCT/kV/mV imaging, Varian TrueBeam, Varian 21ex/ix, Varian Trilogy, Varian TrueBeam Edge, Varis-Vision/ARIA, custom molds, custom shields, block cutting, wedges, radiation safety, and use of rapid response/code teams
• Locals are accepted; candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are considered local
Preferred Experience / Skills
• 3 or more years of Radiation Therapy experience preferred
• Experience in CT simulation, tumor localization, dose calculation, and craniospinal treatments
• Familiarity with Eclipse (Varian), Vision RT, GE, Philips, or Siemens systems
• Experience in a teaching hospital setting, management or lead role, chart checks, emergency cases, field shaping, IV starts, patient/family teaching, and isolation precautions
