Job Description
Position: Oncology Registered Nurse
Location: Lewiston, Maine
Department: Oncology
Shifts Available: Days
Pay: Up to $672–$768 gross per shift, equivalent to $56.00–$64.00 per hour
Responsibilities
• Provide direct care to oncology patients in an infusion setting
• Administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, immunotherapy, and IV infusions per protocol
• Perform patient assessments and monitor treatment response and side effects
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and symptom management
• Ensure adherence to safety standards and hazardous drug handling protocols
• Communicate clinical changes, labs, and diagnostic results to physicians
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure HIPAA compliance
• Collaborate with the oncology care team to coordinate treatment and supportive care
Qualifications
• Current and valid RN license
• Current BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintain
• Minimum one year of RN oncology experience
