Travel Nurse RN - Oncology In San Francisco, CA

Registered Nurse – Oncology

San Francisco, CA Outpatient / Ambulatory

Schedule / Job Type
Contract Days 5x8 Hours (8:30 AM – 5:00 PM)

Key Responsibilities

- Provide direct patient care in an outpatient oncology setting, including Medical Oncology and Surgical Oncology
- Perform telephone triage and symptom assessment for oncology patients
- Float to other affiliated facilities as needed based on staffing requirements
- Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records
- Participate in non-billable orientation modules prior to start and annually as required


Required Qualifications

- Active California RN License (must be in hand at time of submittal)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum 3 years of total RN experience
- Minimum 2 years of Oncology experience in Medical Oncology or Surgical Oncology
- Minimum 1 year of Ambulatory/Outpatient experience
- Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience
- Experience with telephone triage and symptom assessment
- Teaching hospital experience required
- Local candidates are accepted and are eligible under the same terms as travel candidates


Preferred Experience / Skills

- ACLS certification
- Chemotherapy certification (ONS/ONCC)
- Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) credential
- Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) experience
