Registered Nurse - Outpatient - Full-time Days

Role: The RN Staff Nurse Outpatient provides comprehensive nursing care in an outpatient setting, aligning with organizational values and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care using the nursing process.
• Coordinate care delivery and supervise assisting staff.
• Engage patients and families in education, discharge planning, and participation in care.
• Ensure patient safety, reduce errors, and incorporate safety goals.
• Assess and manage pain, educating patients and families on pain control techniques.
• Provide effective hand-offs and assume on-call duties as needed.

Qualifications

• BSN required for all hires after a specified date.
• Licensed RN in Illinois.
• Minimum of one year experience in a similar role; three years preferred.
• CPR certification: BLS required; PALS and ACLS preferred or up to six months post-hire.
