Job Description
Role Overview
Provides professional nursing care by performing independent and delegated medical functions, focusing on health promotion, disease prevention, diagnosis, and treatment. Builds strong relationships with patients, assessing their needs and responding promptly to ensure quality care.
Key Responsibilities
• Adheres to all safety, quality, and emergency policies, ensuring patient safety during medication administration, procedures, and infection control.
• Evaluates patient health status through data collection and analysis, prioritizes needs, and develops care plans.
• Performs triage in person or by phone, initiates appropriate interventions for emergency situations, and follows established protocols.
• Provides health education and counseling to patients and families.
• Executes delegated medical functions, including administering medications and therapies, under physician oversight.
• Coordinates care across healthcare services, manages patient populations, and advocates for patients’ needs.
Qualifications & Skills
• Minimum one year of RN experience, including oncology within the past five years.
• Graduated from an approved RN program with supervised clinical hours.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse (Colorado) and BLS certification within three months.
• Certification in Chemotherapy Immunotherapy (ONS/ONCC).
• Strong customer service, critical thinking, IV skills, and team collaboration abilities.
