Job Description
Position Summary: The Nurse Navigator is a nursing specialist responsible for coordinating comprehensive care across the treatment continuum.
Key Responsibilities: Collaborates with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery. Manages all aspects of treatment, provides education, supports community outreach, and facilitates support groups.
Qualifications & Skills: Requires a graduate from an approved nursing school, with a preferred Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Must have at least 2 years of related experience, ideally in oncology, with experience in patient education and support groups. Active RN licensure and BLS certification are required; oncology or chemotherapy certification is preferred.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50 pounds, stand and walk for extended periods, and perform physical tasks such as reaching, bending, and kneeling.
Ideal Candidate: An experienced oncology nurse with strong clinical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a compassionate approach to patient care.
