Job Description
Summary of Role:
This position involves providing comprehensive nursing care within the Radiology department, including assessment, patient education, and coordination of care during imaging and interventional procedures. The RN will administer medications, monitor patient responses, prepare patients for procedures, and ensure all documentation and testing are complete for continuity of care. Responsibilities also include emergency support, patient transport, and assisting with therapies and lab result evaluations. The role requires collaboration with healthcare team members and adherence to organization policies.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Nursing (required)
• At least 1 year of RN experience; critical care experience preferred
• Competence in BLS and ACLS procedures
• Strong assessment, communication, and patient education skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment and assist with emergency procedures
Key Duties:
• Perform patient assessments and provide nursing support for radiology procedures
• Administer treatments and medications per policies
• Prepare patients and review medical histories for procedures
• Educate patients and families, and evaluate intervention effectiveness
• Support emergency responses and assist with patient transport and therapies
• Collaborate with team members and ensure documentation accuracy
