Role Overview:
The RN Clinical Nurse provides high-quality, safe, and patient-centered care within an interdisciplinary team on an oncology unit specializing in adult inpatient cancer treatments. They utilize evidence-based practice, critical thinking, and the nursing process to deliver individualized care, partnering with patients and families to meet care goals.
Responsibilities:
Perform assessments, diagnoses, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
Coordinate care through effective communication and documentation, ensuring adherence to clinical standards and policies.
Support professional development by mentoring colleagues and maintaining competencies.
Promote evidence-based practice, participate in research, and contribute to quality improvement activities.
Plan and support patient care across the continuum, developing protocols to improve outcomes and reduce adverse events.
Qualifications:
Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's preferred.
Current RN license (single or multi-state), BLS certification required.
Less than 1 year of clinical experience preferred.
Strong communication, computer, and interpersonal skills; ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies decisively.
