Registered Nurse - Acute Care MedSurg Oncology - Charge Nurse - Full Time Nights

Role: The RN Clinical Charge Nurse leads and manages daily unit operations on an assigned shift, ensuring safe, high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities: Directs interdisciplinary team activities, makes patient assignments, monitors resource utilization, and oversees clinical practices based on evidence-based standards. Conducts patient rounds, evaluates care quality, facilitates effective communication among staff and physicians, and promotes patient-centered care. Supports staff development, fosters teamwork, participates in performance improvement activities, and ensures compliance with policies and regulations.

Qualifications & Skills: Requires an active nursing license, with preferred BSN degree. Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience, with clinical expertise and prior leadership or relief charge experience preferred. Certifications in BLS and multi-state RN license are required; ACLS preferred. Strong clinical, communication, teamwork, and leadership skills are essential.

Key Duties: Manage staffing, ensure equipment readiness, coordinate patient flow, participate in protocol development, and uphold safety and quality standards. Serve as a resource for staff, promote evidence-based practice, and support a collaborative, respectful work environment.
