Role Overview
Join our pharmacy team as a Pharmacist, providing safe, effective, and cost-efficient medication therapy. You will develop, recommend, and monitor evidence-based pharmacotherapy care plans focused on patient outcomes and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver pharmaceutical care tailored to specific patient care areas.
• Interpret and clarify physicians' medication orders, ensuring accuracy.
• Review medication profiles for safety, effectiveness, and interactions.
• Consult with medical staff on drug therapy issues and monitor lab results.
• Provide drug information and patient discharge medication counseling.
• Make rounds with medical teams and calculate dosages based on pharmacokinetics.
• Verify provider orders, prepare specialized medications, and supervise pharmacy staff.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve pharmacy-related problems.
• Assist in updating departmental policies and procedures.
Qualifications & Skills
• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy (required), Doctoral Degree preferred.
• Residency training or 3 years of clinical experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of pharmacotherapy, drug interactions, and sterile compounding.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and supervisory skills.
• Ability to interpret lab results and calculate dosages accurately.
