Job Description
This role is for a Charge Nurse on a MedSurg Oncology Unit, responsible for leading daily patient care activities, ensuring safe and high-quality outcomes.
As a clinical leader, the Charge Nurse supervises staff, manages patient assignments, and coordinates resources, including staffing and equipment, to support optimal care delivery.
Key duties include conducting rounds to evaluate care quality, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, overseeing patient flow and bed management, and supporting staff development and mentorship.
Qualifications include a nursing license (RN) with a minimum of 1 year of nursing experience; preferably two years and experience in a relief charge role.
Required certifications are BLS and preferably ACLS. The role demands strong clinical expertise, effective communication, teamwork, and adherence to evidence-based practices and professional standards.
Additional responsibilities encompass resource management, participating in quality improvement, and supporting a respectful, patient-centered environment.
