Job Description
Role Overview: This position involves administering radiation therapy by preparing and positioning patients, delivering prescribed treatments in collaboration with physicians and dosimetrists, and maintaining detailed treatment records. The role requires ensuring equipment functionality, adhering to regulatory standards, and managing high-quality imaging and documentation for patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and position patients accurately for treatment.
Deliver treatment plans as prescribed, supporting patient safety and comfort.
Maintain and adjust treatment equipment, including linear accelerators.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and proper documentation.
Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized department environment.
Operate in a vigilant and safe manner, performing additional duties as needed.
Qualifications & Skills
Associate’s degree or completion of a radiation certification program.
Certification from ARRT in Radiation Therapy.
Licensed by the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (or relevant state licensing body).
Current BLS Healthcare Provider certification.
Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, and perform repetitive movements, with good vision and hearing.
Additional Information: The role supports a collaborative, modern treatment environment, utilizing tattoo-free and pre-treatment imaging techniques. It involves day shift work, primarily on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, with a focus on patient safety, quality care, and departmental organization.
