Job Description
Hourly Pay Range:
$40.45 - $62.70 - The hourly pay rate offered is based on the candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.
Position Highlights:
• Position: Collaborative Registered Nurse, Oncology
• Full Time: 40 hours/week
• Hours: Monday - Friday: 8am - 4:30pm, no weekends or holidays.
• Required Travel: May float to other Kellogg Cancer Centers, as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver compassionate and effective nursing care independently for patients in the oncology unit.
• Utilize the nursing process to create, implement, and evaluate personalized patient care plans.
• Guide and mentor unlicensed assistive personnel in providing high-quality patient care.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care.
• Contribute positively to patient safety and experience.
Qualifications:
• Licensure: Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Illinois, required.
• Education: Associate's degree in Nursing, required. Bachelor's degree in Nursing is strongly preferred.
• Certification: Current CPR Certification from the American Heart Association, required. OCN/ONS certification preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year in an Oncology Outpatient Infusion Center is required; if no oncology experience, ED, ICU, or PACU experience is highly preferred.
