We are looking for a dedicated Hospice Care Consultant - Liaison for Patients and Physicians to enhance our team. Reporting directly to the AVP of Business Development, you will play a key role in forging strong partnerships with physician practices, nurse practitioners, and their support teams, driving timely and appropriate hospice referrals. As a brand ambassador, you will educate referral sources about our hospice services, ensuring compassionate care for patients and their families.
Your Responsibilities:
• Implement consultative selling strategies to cultivate lasting relationships with physicians, nurse practitioners, and healthcare decision-makers.
• Design, execute, and assess strategic marketing and referral initiatives to achieve targeted admissions, census, revenue, and growth objectives.
• Collaborate with clinical and operational teams to uphold high-quality hospice programs and patient care standards.
• Actively represent our organization at community events, physician offices, and professional gatherings to advocate hospice services.
• Inform healthcare providers, patients, and families about hospice advantages, clinical outcomes, and care options through engaging presentations, in-services, and personal meetings.
• Monitor referrals, admissions, and compliance with corporate, local, and federal regulations effectively.
• Contribute to physician and community education programs to enhance outreach and awareness.
About You:
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field preferred; or equivalent experience.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in physician referral development, healthcare marketing, or sales.
• Proven success in establishing relationships with physicians and nurse practitioners.
• Understanding of hospice, community resources, and patient-centered care practices.
• Strong consultative marketing, communication, and organizational capabilities.
Essential Skills & Competencies:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills tailored to diverse audiences.
• Exceptional relationship-building and networking abilities within healthcare circles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and data management systems.
• Ability to balance multiple priorities and work autonomously in a dynamic environment.
• Empathy and sensitivity towards the needs of terminally ill patients and their families.
Licenses & Certifications:
• Valid driver's license and automobile liability insurance coverage.
