Clinical Pharmacist

Role Overview



This PRN Clinical Pharmacist supports outpatient infusion services at a hospital-based Oncology Infusion Center, primarily serving oncology, non-oncology, and MS patients. The role involves verifying, preparing, dispensing, and documenting medications to ensure safe, timely, and accurate medication use. The pharmacist collaborates closely with nursing, providers, scheduling, and pharmacy leadership to optimize workflows, reduce treatment delays, and enhance patient experience. Responsibilities include supervising support staff, managing medication therapy, evaluating medication orders for appropriateness, and maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The position emphasizes process improvement to enhance efficiency and standardization across therapies and protocols.



Qualifications & Skills





- Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy (Doctorate preferred)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience; 2-5 years preferred
- Licensure as a Pharmacist (RPh) and Medication Therapy Services certification in MO
- Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to oversee workflow and support operational readiness





Key Duties





- Manage medication workflows and supervise pharmacy support personnel
- Evaluate medication orders for appropriateness and safety
- Partner with clinical team members to ensure optimal therapy outcomes
- Contribute to process improvements and protocol standardization
- Participate in departmental meetings and committees as needed
