Role Overview
This position involves providing direct patient care in an acute care setting, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care within established standards. The role emphasizes patient and family-centered care, education on illness management, and participation in safety, quality, and regulatory activities. Nurses will develop individualized care plans collaboratively, communicate effectively across care teams, and assess patients' physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs while respecting cultural and personal preferences.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote healing environments and educate patients/families on care needs.
- Participate in safety, quality, and professional development activities.
- Develop and document personalized care plans, ensuring seamless communication across care continuum.
- Assess patient needs holistically, including psychosocial and emotional factors.
- Maintain safety standards and alertness as this is a safety-sensitive role.
Qualifications & Skills
- Graduate from Nursing Diploma or Associate's program; Bachelor's preferred.
- Active RN license required.
- Preferred experience includes at least 2 years in a similar setting.
- Strong assessment, communication, and teamwork skills.
