This position involves providing specialized care on a fast-paced unit, including post-procedural nursing, medication administration, and patient education. Job Details

• Location: Kansas City, MO

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week

• Required Qualifications: Certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS); experience with Cardiac Telemetry or Progressive Care Unit / Intensive Care Unit (ICU); ability to read and interpret EKGs and telemetry strips; experience with post-cardiac procedural care including Ablations, cardiac catheterizations, Post-Operative Day 1 Open Heart, permanent Pacemaker placements; proficiency in administering and titrating IV medications such as insulin, Cardizem, Cardene, and Amiodarone; no minimum experience required.

• Additional Information: Must work full-time hours including three weekend shifts per scheduling period. The role involves patient assistance such as IV insertions, NGT placement, Chest Tube maintenance, and Foley insertions. Proper attire includes navy blue scrubs, with black scrubs permitted for tops. Candidates should demonstrate commitment to patient experience goals by providing courteous, respectful, and responsive care. Trainees will be expected to meet the unit-specific policies and guidelines.
