Job Summary:
The Radiation Therapy Dosimetrist is responsible for developing and implementing precise radiation treatment plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This role involves collaborating with medical professionals to deliver accurate dosage and maintain treatment documentation.

Responsibilities:

•
Plan and design radiation treatment techniques to deliver prescribed doses effectively.

•
Obtain and supervise patient data collection, including contours, localization files, CT scans, and port films.

•
Coordinate simulation procedures with tumor localization activities.

•
Calculate and document radiation doses in patients therapy charts.

•
Supervise therapists during treatment delivery and assist in the planning of beam-modifying devices.

•
Prepare sources for brachytherapy procedures and assist with localization films and isodose calculations.

Qualifications:

•
Hold a high school diploma or equivalent with at least three years of dosimetry experience under supervision.

•
Credentialed as a Certified Medical Dosimetrist by the American Association of Medical Dosimetry.

•
Demonstrate proficiency with Eclipse Treatment Planning, Mosaiq, Radformation, RadCalc, and Mobius systems.

•
Possess strong knowledge of radiation dosimetry techniques and safety protocols.

•
Exhibit excellent collaboration and organizational skills.
