Job Description

Role Overview

The Therapeutic Area Medical Science Liaison (TA MSL) is a scientific partner responsible for providing clinical and health economic insights on disease states and medication utilization. This field-based role involves engaging with healthcare providers, decision-makers, and patients to improve patient outcomes and support local medical strategies. TA MSLs may cover multiple medicines and participate in scientific discussions related to patient care and total cost of treatment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver a comprehensive customer experience within their region
• Demonstrate deep scientific expertise on assigned products and therapeutic areas
• Build relationships with external scientific and medical stakeholders to stay informed on healthcare trends
• Engage in value/cost of care discussions and adverse event management
• Maintain continuous learning and adhere to industry guidelines

Qualifications & Skills

• Advanced clinical/science degree (MD, PharmD, PhD, MSN, NP, PA, etc.) or BSN with extensive industry experience
• At least 5 years of clinical, managed care, or industry experience
• Knowledge of GCP, ICH guidelines, and relevant therapeutic areas
• Understanding of product safety, managed care, health economics, and regulatory landscape

Preferred Experience

• Previous field medical science liaison experience
• 2+ years in clinical or health economic research
• In-depth knowledge of Phase IV/post-marketing drug development

Additional Details

• Field-based role with significant travel, including driving and air travel
• Reside within 50 miles of the territory, preferably near a major airport
• Salary range: $161,300 - $299,500, plus potential bonus and benefits
