We are hiring for a Senior Financial Analyst within our Oncology R&D team. The ideal candidate will be located in Spring House, PA, Raritan, NJ, or Titusville, NJ. This is a remote position that may require up to 10% travel.
## Position Overview
The Senior Financial Analyst will provide financial leadership, support, and analysis for several key early and late-stage development compounds within the Oncology Therapeutic Area. You will be responsible for all financial aspects related to the projects and functional budgets for your assigned compounds.
### What You’ll Do
- Proactively partner with Compound Development Teams (CDT) and Project Management Teams (PMT) to align financial targets, analyze the value of project investments, and address business issues.
- Manage all aspects of financial updates including the Business Plan and Long Range Financial Plan, ensuring accuracy and compliance of monthly forecasting and closing cycles.
- Build and maintain pipeline valuation models for your compounds, partnering with CDT/PMT, Commercial, Global Strategic Marketing, Operations, and Tax.
- Support Portfolio Reviews and provide ad-hoc valuation support to key stakeholders across the Pharmaceutical R&D, Operations, and Strategic Marketing organization.
- Partner with Business Development in support of External Innovation and L&A/M&A projects.
- Challenge business assumptions, develop alternative scenarios, and educate business partners on financial issues and concepts.
- Demonstrate strong financial leadership by providing recommendations for improving the value of financial information supplied to upper management, guiding business partners, and executing the process for all development forecast and worldwide valuation updates.
### Qualifications
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required, preferably with a major in Accounting or Finance. MBA, CPA, CMA, or other financial certifications are preferred.
- A minimum of three (3) years of finance or related business experience is required.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical or medical device industries, as well as public accounting, is preferred.
- Must possess excellent analytical (MS Excel), conceptual, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to think creatively and work in a team environment is required.
- The ability to effectively take on leadership roles in various functions is required.
- The ability to navigate through ambiguity is required.
- Must work well in a fast-paced environment and be able to recommend and implement process improvements, work independently, and handle several tasks simultaneously.
### Compensation and Benefits
The anticipated base pay range for this position is $79,000-$127,650. The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis. Employees and/or eligible dependents may be eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance. Employees may be eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)). This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive program. Employees are eligible for the following time off benefits: Vacation – up to 120 hours per calendar year; Sick time - up to 40 hours per calendar year; Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays – up to 13 days per calendar year; Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year.
