Job Description
Role: The position is for a School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) responsible for providing speech and language services in an educational setting.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify communication disorders in students.
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) with specific goals.
• Deliver direct therapy services in individual and group settings.
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
• Provide training and resources to teachers and staff for integrating speech therapy goals into classrooms.
Qualifications & Skills
• Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology or related field.
• State SLP license in IL and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).
• Experience in school, early childhood, or pediatrics is preferred, but new grads are accepted.
• Strong knowledge of speech and language development, assessment tools, and therapeutic techniques.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and community members.
• Maintain accurate and confidential student records in compliance with regulations.
