Charge Nurse (RN) - Day Surgery

Seeking a Day Surgery Charge Nurse (RN) to oversee daily operations in a surgical department, ensuring quality patient care while meeting organizational and medical staff goals.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Managing department operations independently under the guidance of a Nurse Manager/Director
• Recruiting, training, and mentoring staff members
• Preparing reports for nurse managers and coordinating patient care activities
• Assessing staff competencies and making patient care assignments
• Maintaining communication with management regarding unit needs and incidents
• Performing related duties to support efficient nursing services

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• At least one year of RN experience
• Current applicable state RN licensure and BLS certification
• ACLS, CPI, PALS, and NRP certifications required within specified timeframes, depending on department
• Preferred: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing
