Job Description
Role and Responsibilities: Provide physics support for Radiation Oncology, including weekly chart checks, acceptance testing, commissioning, calibration, and quality assurance of radiation therapy equipment. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure accurate and safe patient treatments. Support the implementation and maintenance of advanced radiation therapy technology.
Qualifications and Skills: Must hold a Master's or Ph.D. in Medical Physics or related field, along with certification from the American Board of Radiology in Therapeutic Medical Physics. Requires at least 2 years of post-degree clinical experience or completion of a residency. Strong knowledge of radiation therapy physics, equipment calibration, and quality assurance processes is essential.
Key Duties
• Perform weekly chart reviews and equipment checks
• Conduct acceptance testing and commissioning of therapy hardware
• Ensure calibration and quality assurance of radiation therapy devices
• Collaborate with clinical teams to support patient-focused cancer care
