Job Description
Bring your expertise in occupational therapy to a dynamic school-based role where youll provide impactful support to students across a district near New Castle, DE. This contract position offers the opportunity to work closely with a variety of learners in a collaborative, educational setting. Youll be part of a dedicated team focused on fostering student growth and independence through customized therapy interventions.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Active Occupational Therapy license required (please ensure a valid license is submitted with your application)
• Previous experience in a school setting or with pediatric populations strongly preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to engage students, staff, and families
• Capability to manage time efficiently across multiple school sites as needed
• Ability to create, implement, and monitor individualized therapy plans based on student needs
Key Responsibilities:
• Travel to schools throughout the district to deliver occupational therapy services
• Evaluate students to determine therapy needs and develop personalized treatment plans
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and family members to set goals and ensure continuity of care
• Maintain accurate documentation for student progress and compliance with regulatory standards
• Provide training and support to educational staff regarding accommodations and strategies
• Adapt and modify materials or environments to help students participate fully in their learning
The position runs from ASAP through early June 2027, offering a full-time schedule of 35 hours per week with a daily 30-minute unpaid lunch. Four openings are available, allowing you to have a broad impact within the districts school community.
