Job Description
Make a difference in the lives of students by providing essential occupational therapy services in a school-based contract role, working with a diverse population near Hemet, CA. This opportunity is onsite only, with an immediate start and coverage needed through the end of the school year (anticipated end date: 6/4/2027), supporting a consistent caseload of approximately 80 students.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Active OT or COTA license in California
• Experience with school-aged children preferred
• Knowledge of IEP processes and school documentation requirements
• Strong collaborative and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Key Responsibilities:
For COTA:
• Provide direct occupational therapy services to students at two elementary schools
• Adhere to treatment plans developed by supervising OT
• Document student progress and collaborate with other educational team members
• Work a schedule of 7.5 hours per day, including an unpaid lunch
For OT:
• Deliver occupational therapy services and supervise a COTA at one elementary site
• Develop individualized treatment plans and attend IEP meetings as needed
• Oversee COTAs daily activities, ensuring high-quality care
• 8-hour workdays with an unpaid lunch
